NAA Open Day and Visitor Centre Opening at Helical
We had a fantastic day welcoming the Northern Automotive Alliance and their members in our brand new Visitor Centre last week.
The Visitor Centre is the project of Elizabeth Morris, whose tireless efforts made the dream come true and made it the perfect setting for the event.
The event started with Charles Morris’s welcome speech, first focusing on Helical’s history and then talking about the ‘dark inventions’ that are ahead of us in this always changing, but always inspiring, innovative industry.
After Charles’s opening address, members were guided through the visitor centre to hear presentations from the department heads in front of their own exhibition stand.
Members also heard presentations from Steve Reynolds of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and Paul Wingrove, representing MGS Technical Plastics Ltd.
Following the presentations the group took a tour of the Warton Testing Facilitiy with our Test Centre Manager, Tony Cox and then members were impressed by the live drive by of our promotional 1012bhp Supercar with Mike Vernon in the driving seat, demonstrating Helical’s evolutionary valve technology in action.
We would like to thank NAA and all their members for attending and making our open day such a valuable and succesful event.
